Cladding
KB - BLOK system walling principles shall be followed when cladding. First of all it is necessary to wall on the joint 8-10 mm so that the basic product module is maintained. Before the cladding itself it is necessary to level possibly uneven surfaces using cement mortar.
When gluing to the cladding seal (it has to be frostproof for exteriors) we use cement mortar only for joints. Special joint substances for ceramic cladding have not been tested yet.
When cladding it is necessary to anchor to the wall using stainless steel ties. When we clad to an existing wall, we use ties for additional positioning (fasteners). According to the wall material we anchor to, a suitable type of stainless tie is used. For simultaneous walling of supporting walls and cladding the ties are inserted regularly into the joint.
We use a special stainless steel anchor in the door head.

Surface penetration with water-repellent
It is necessary to treat cladding from ground pieces with surface penetration. The water-repellent used should meet certain basic requirements:
- designed for concrete materials;
- UV resistant;
- allowing for "wall breathing"
- inert to concrete.
There are many preparations that meet these criteria. The following were successfully tested for the KB - BLOK system:
- KERASEAL by Mapei - only for interiors
- CHRYSO HD by Chryso - for both interiors and exteriors
- LADAX BAF 3 by Ladax - for interiors
