Geostone
The GEOSTONE construction system is a quite unique and rare system of creating various shapes of giant buttress walls and small stair step walls with the possibility to vegetate individual platforms.
The GEOSTONE construction system is an innovation on both the Czech and European market. It is a complex system of elements designed for the construction of assembled buttress walls and the walls with the option of reinforcement through a geogrid.
The GEOSTONE construction system has been designed by a team of technicians and engineers of KB - BLOK system and is produced using a special American technology.
GEOSTONE is a protected trademark not only in the CzechRepublicbut also in the European Union.
The system of reinforced buttress walls
The GEOSTONE construction system is mainly designed to building large buttress walls and walls reinforced by geogrids but is can also be used to build small walls and breast walls. These buttress walls can be shaped in a number of ways and by combining individual elements of the GEOSTONE system we can achieve aesthetically interesting shapes with the possibility of vegetating at individual platforms.
The GEOSTONE construction system is also designed to creating terraces and breast walls at gardens. A beautiful garden is a natural human desire. You can fulfil this wish using our GEOSTONE system of breast walls. A garden which is made special by a terrace or breast wall will win vividness and beauty. It will become your pride and joy. Building a breast wall is not a big issue; even a non-professional will manage to build it thanks to the lock system. And the result will exceed your expectations.
A survey of Geostone elements
The GEOSTONE construction system contains especially concrete elements by means of which breast walls and slopes of various gradients can be built with varied finishes and colour designs. In the GEOSTONE system these slopes and breast walls can be vegetated in many ways and thus their aesthetic appearance can be enhanced significantly. Part of the system comprises geogrids that in some cases secure the stability of a breast structure and/or a slope.
In principle, four concrete elements are contained in the GEOSTONE group which can be freely combined and thus create various options of both breast walls and slopes. They are the elements marked:
- GEOSTONE® – FLAT
- GEOSTONE® – BENT
- GEOSTONE® – POT
- GEOSTONE® – SHELF
The elements can be made in standard colours (natural, coloured, white), multicolor, colors 08, multicolors 08, colors 09, multicolors 09, bluecolors 09 and in finishings either as smooth, cut or rustic.
Building a Geostone wall
The GEOSTONE construction system enables building massive stepped walls which feature a high static stability.
Individual system elements are mutually combined with a shape plug; the space between elements is filled with gravelled filling which together with a concrete skeleton forms one structural wall element.
The wall stability is secured by their weight affect. Combining various face elements and their colour options creates a stable impressive colourful and artistic wall face, especially in gardens combined with greenery.
Basic configurations of setting GEOSTONE® elements – FLAT and BENT
Plug setting in the first row of holes, the wall is vertical
Plug setting in the second row of holes, the wall is diverted by 9.5° from the vertical
Plug setting in the third row of holes, the wall is diverted by 18.6° from the vertical

The elements have circular holes for plastics plug setting at their rear. Both types have only one row of circular holes which means that the following line of concrete elements can be set only to one position, i.e. with a fixed offset.

Irrigation system for the POT and SHELF elements
The POT and SHELF elements are equipped with a groove in side walls which serves for placing an irrigation pipe or dropping. The irrigation pipe is placed in this groove; it has spouts always roughly in the middle of a concrete element.
The picture shows the details the concrete elements designed for setting including the description of the irrigation groove.
