Děčín TC and CSIS
The first construction secondary school in the Ústí region that we invited to collaborate. The school management, and headmaster Ing. J. Vyhnálek in particular, welcomed the presented opportunity and began preparation of student projects in 2003; we installed educational panels on structural details in the school, welcomed the first students to excursions at our manufacturing plant, and provided our components for a retaining wall for the construction of a new school canteen. The original canteen was damaged by the 2002 Elbe flood so much that a total demolition was necessary.
The 2010-2011 9th-grader project competition was remarkable for consisting only of single-family house projects in a single category. The projects were primarily evaluated in terms of correctness of application of the KB-BLOK construction system, application of basic and auxiliary products in our product range, and design of details of house structures. We noticed a significantly higher quality of the competing projects and good guidance for the contestants by teachers of Building Structures.
The awarding ceremony for the best 2010-2011 projects took place at the Děčín school on 26 September 2011, attended by headmaster Ing. J. Vacková, teachers and representatives of KB-BLOK.
The authors of the best projects, students Jan Němec, Josef Konečný and Petr Parkan, received monetary awards. Congratulations to those awarded, who we believe will score excellent study results in the other subjects as well.
At the same time, technical consultants of KB-BLOK introduced students to novelties and their uses in building structures.
