Roofing

Considering the technical properties of concrete roofing, there is not a single reason not to go for it. Not only does the fact that roof tiles made a century ago are still functional on roofs today speak for concrete roofing; the present-day facts are important: Skandinávská roofing is made using state-of-the-art techniques that apply recent findings in concrete manufacturing. The roof tile, originating from Scandinavia, is literally programmed to last the same time, or even longer.

Batten grid

The batten grid has to be made of battens of the prescribed cross-section (ČSN 733150). The batten cross-section is based on distance between battens and rafters and their load. The usual cross-section would be 40/60 for battens and 30/50 mm for counter-battens. The Skandinávská roof tile is recommended for use on roofs of a slope greater than 22°. The tile overlap is adjusted by batten spacing depending on the roof pitch.

Pitch: Batten spacing:
22-25° max. 315 mm
26-30° max. 330 mm
31° or more max. 340 mm

KB-BLOK roofing

  • One of the most commonly used concrete roof tiles in the country in the last decade. Its pleasant appearance, simplicity and ease of installation rank it among first-class roofing materials on the Czech market.
  • It is recognised for its shapes, precise manufacturing, timeless service life, wide range of colours and an array of accessory products for complete construction.
  • It arrived from Sweden and combines over a century of traditional manufacturing of concrete roof tiles with unique properties of concrete roofing, tried and tested in the harsh conditions of the Scandinavian Nordic climate. Its guaranteed frost-resistance and low absorbing capacity contribute to that.
  • Modern Swedish technologies are used during its manufacture, together with procedures certified by time, high quality raw materials from selected locations (silica sand, Portland cement) and the vast experience of our staff. Colour stability is guaranteed by the use of inorganic pigments for concrete colouration and surface paints from leading world manufacturers. These materials are used for roofs on new as well as renovated buildings.
  • Its quality is continuously monitored throughout the manufacturing process according to the quality system in place under the European standard ČSN EN ISO 9001.
  • It is environmentally friendly. Not just in the course of production, but also during the entire life cycle, until the end. It is fully recyclable. The Skandinávská roof tile has been certified for environmental protection under ČSN EN ISO 14001.
  • It provides quality service, 30-year quality warranty under ČSN EN 490 and a tried and tested lifetime of 100 years. The quality warranty is not conditioned upon installation by a specialised company, or a requirement for necessary use of accessories. Complete roof deliveries including plastic accessories are a matter of course.
  • It is made in three versions:
    • SELSKÁ concrete roofing – uncoloured natural concrete. Designed for all types of buildings, but due to the low price it is popular mostly with commercial and industrial structures. It comes in a natural, red, brown and black design, including the KELTIC version, resulting in KELTIC natural and KELTIC brick.
    • SKANDINÁVSKÁ concrete roofing – full-coloured concrete and two layers of acrylic spray paint that harmonises the roof colouring and extends the tile service life. Tiles with an acrylic coat are considered traditional. It is suitable for both new and renovated buildings. It drains water perfectly, dirt does not stick to it, and its colour shade will not change for many years to come. It is made in the red, black and brown colours.
    • GLOSSY LUČANKA concrete roof tile – the surface of Lučanka is made using a new acrylic double-coat technology that provides better roof protection from weather and increases frost resistance, thus prolonging the life of the roof. The top layer of the Lučanka tile is glossy, which adds a completely new, aesthetic look to the roof. It comes in the brick red, anthracite and red-brown colours.
