Electrical installation and building utility distributions

Electrical installation

Electrical installations are routed in electrical installation protective piping (Kopex), which are furnished with an AY/4 routing wire during installation.
Horizontal installations are routed in the concrete of the floor top layer. If the building layout permits, installations can be routed in basement or attic spaces.
Vertical installations routed in partition walls are embedded; the hollows in building blocks are used for routing.
Transitions from the horizontal to the vertical installations have to be chiselled or milled out.

Building utility distributions

Horizontal sewage distributions can lead under floor structures of the first underground or ground floor or in upper floors.
Horizontal water distributions can lead protected in a floor duct or in brick or drywall partitions.
Maximum effort should be exerted as early as in the design stage to concentrate utility equipment and distributions. Vertical distributions can be arranged using installation cores or suitable additional walling.

Horizontal heating distributions are ideally located in the thermal insulation floor layer. However, that has to be considered when designing the floor structure compositions.
Vertical risers are again ideally placed in installation cores.

During building execution, it is essential to thoroughly coordinate all installation jobs with other jobs. It is also necessary to observe health and safety regulations and technical facility standards, namely Decree No. 324/1990 Coll.
