Ceiling structures

The horizontal structure is an important component of the building load-bearing system.

The most important function of ceiling structures is safe transmission of constant and random loads onto vertical load-bearing structures and reinforcement of the structure against horizontal forces.

In the KB-BLOK systém, in addition to structural requirements, which have a priority of course, we have to consider requirements of modular coordination.

Generally speaking, the height of the load-bearing structure ceiling should be 200 mm. If this requirement cannot be observed, equalisation up to a multiple of 200 mm is necessary.

Recommendation options for ceiling structures

I. Wooden joist ceiling

II. Reinforced concrete monolithic slab

III. Ceramic inserts and beams (Miako, CDS Hurdis, Hat Trick, POT, KP&T, Ocel I) CDS Hurdis

IV. Ceramic and concrete panels, thickness 190 mm
